June 2001, Think Centre begins to raise public awareness on the death penalty issue.

April 2005, Think Centre reaffirms call for a moratorium on death penalty and to commute all death sentences to imprisonment. Think Centre calls on the government to remove the mandatory capital punishment for simple possession of drugs. The mandatory death sentence must be removed. Singapore is believe to have the world's highest per capita execution rate,relative to its population.

Think Centre's Working Group on Death Penalty invites you to the Second concert Against Death Penalty in Singapore. HUNG AT DAWN is organised by an independent group of sound artists and individuals called Songs for Sam.

After the first concert Hung At Dawn which featured local punk rock bands, HUNG AT DAWN - GATHERING OF THE LAPTOP, THE NOISE & THE ACOUSTICS, sees another group of artists creating original works responding to the death penalty system.

On laptop: George Chua, Zulkifle Mahmod, Chong Li Chuan, Yuen Chee Wai. On acoustics: Cyril Wong, Ang Song Ming and sixTnine.

On noise Zai Kuning, Marcos Destructos & Mindfucking Boy.,br>

Guest performer, godfather of regional punk rock, Carburetor Dung (KL, Malaysia).
