On 6 October 2000, Think Centre will take centre stage again at Speakers' Corner from 5 pm to 7 pm. Come and hear what we have to say!

Profile of all the speakers speaking on the day:

ANBARASU BALRASAN
Juveniles, Gangs & Staring

· What can the people do to help them and stop the tragic violence?

Anbarasu Balrasan was educated in Australia in Political Science and was an International Students' Union leader who always stood for the cultural relativist position of Asian/African students and their particular rights. He is currently doing his postgraduate research on human rights and foreign policy. He also helps with teenagers who have problems fitting into the new economy.

YAW SHIN LEONG
The Performance Trap

Yaw Shin Leong graduated from NUS in Political Science and Sociology and was the President of the NUS Democratic Socialist Club who spearheaded the crusade against political apathy on campus and advocated a national attainment towards a politics of balance. Currently he runs a small company supporting B2B & B2C operations. He is also project director of Think Centre.

Irvin Lim is a 30-year old working as a dealer in the stockbroking industry. A keen observer of social & political development in Singapore. Still very single, often being reminded by his friends to start being a keen observer of women as well. …unfortunately, women are not so keen to observe him!

James Gomez is a senior researcher in political science. A member of the Roundtable, a Singaporean policy discussion group, he is well known for his critical views on political reform. He is also executive director of Think Centre- an independent peoples' think tank.
