I refer to your poll on whether James should run for Parliament. I had polled No (but of course!).
Politics is not necessarily about elections and Parliament. The PAP crowd thinks of course that only politicians have THE unqualified right to speak on politics.Don't fall into this trap and crap.
For a very long time, we have no political space. Never get co-opted. Never try to think along the same lines. Always try to figure several ways of looking at the state and its policies. Always look out for concerns of the minority and always find a way to encourage and support minority concerns. Always try to understand others. Why am I saying this? I think Singaporeans have been too self-centred for a long time. There is not enough self criticism. And I am not talking about the PAP or the wannabes here.
There are some things going around in Singapore that the Thinkcentre is probably PAP sponsored. If it is, it just shows how much trouble we are in, that we clearly lack the space to think and speak in this country without the Big Brother breathing down our necks.
